Limitations and alternatives

Despite our best efforts to ensure accessibility of Fanatic , there may be some limitations. Below is a description of known limitations, and potential solutions. Please contact us if you observe an issue not listed below.

Known limitations for Fanatic:

Videos: [WCAG 2.0 A 1.2.1 & WCAG 2.0 A 2.2.2]
Our website contains some videos that do not have descriptions, text alternatives, nor a way to pause or hide. We are updating our website for compliance and this is one of our main areas of focus.

Links that do not explain their purpose: [WCAG 2.0 A 2.4.4]
This problem can be found in the testimonials section and in the footer. This is third-party software and we are currently researching alternatives.

Headings: [WCAG 2.0 A 1.3.1]
Some top navigation menu items are not listed as headings, and therefore harder to access using a screen reader. We are in the process of finding a solution for this.

Lists not marked correctly: [WCAG 2.0 A 4.1.1]
The cookies modal contains HTML that is not allowed inside a tag. It could break accessible technologies. This is a third-party script and we are currently researching alternatives.

Alternative text: [WCAG 2.0 A 1.1.1]
We have some instances throughout the site (especially our blog, which spans back over ten years) where images either do not have alternative text, or the alternative text is not appropriate. This is something we are working on currently.
