The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) defines requirements for designers and developers to improve accessibility for people with disabilities. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA. Fanatic is partially conformant with WCAG 2.2 level AA. Partially conformant means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the accessibility standard.

WCAG 1.1.1 Alternative text:
We have some instances throughout the site (especially our blog, which spans back over ten years) where images either do not have alternative text, or the alternative text is not appropriate. This is something we are working on currently.
WCAG 1.1.1 Videos missing description:
Our website contains some videos that do not have descriptions, or text alternatives. We are updating our website for compliance and this is one of our main areas of focus.
WCAG 1.4.10 Reflow:
Our /digital-marketing page scrolls horizontally on small devices. This has been flagged for devs to address asap.
WCAG 2.4.4 Links that do not explain their purpose:
This problem can be found in the testimonials section and in the footer. This is third-party software and we are currently researching alternatives.
WCAG 2.4.1 Skip Links
There are no skip links on our site, which we realise makes the user expeirence poor for screen reader and keyboard users alike. This has been flagged and our devs are adding these asap.
WCAG 2.4.11 Focus not obscured:
Due to an animation style, some elements on our website have focus obscured. This issue has been flagged and is pending dev remediation.
WCAG 2.5.8 Icons are too small and close together:
On the homepage, the pause and play icons are too small and close together and do not pass the success criterion for this guideline. Devs have been alerted to this issue and it is on the list for remediation.
