Inktober and Search Awards

Last month our talented Design team got their creative muscles working once again in this year’s Inktober challenge. Inktober is a challenge that involves creating 31 drawings over the 31 days of October.  This year’s themes have been great and have set a new challenge each day for our Designer Sam to take on.

We are also thrilled to have been shortlisted for 4 awards in this year’s  UK Search Awards! We are all so excited about the awards ceremony this month. We are honoured to be finalists for the:

Best Low Budget Campaign
Best Local Campaign
Best Use Of Search – Health
Best Use Of Search- Travel/ Leisure

What's new in the
Design team?

AMT

Over the past few months, we’ve been working with AMT (Amalgamated Metal Trading Ltd) to develop a fresh new brand which would elevate them in the financial world, well above their competitors. The aim was to take a tired and dated-looking brand and give it a modern edge which would make them stand out in the industry, but not out of touch. We managed this by creating an identity which is clean, sophisticated and modern, without going overboard with visual flare. This gives the brand a grown-up feeling in an industry where heritage and prestige are critical.

Coupled with the branding project was a photo shoot we led, which allowed us to get real imagery of the real people at AMT. This really helps push the brand beyond AMT’s competitors who typically use generic stock photography. It also allowed us to photograph inside the LME (London Metal Exchange), which is an extremely exclusive trading area and very important to AMT’s history.

Off the back of the branding project, we proceeded to produce a full suite of collateral including presentation decks, printed banners, business cards, business stationery and more! We also went on to re-brand and re-build their website, giving them a fresh new platform which they can grow and develop in the future.

team have been up to

Thomas and Phil have been hard at work on the Eat Well Live Well site

This month we launched the latest version of Eat Well Live Well, a site dedicated to enabling sustainable healthy diets across the workforce globally. We took over the site’s hosting earlier this year and rebuilt the site from the ground up to improve the site’s performance and content management. We also worked closely with their team to create a range of new components for the site that help users discover the depth of content on the site and encourage discovery.

core part of the rebuild was creating the site in Umbraco 9. As one of our first new sites built on Umbraco 9 it was a great opportunity to use the new tools provided to us, we’re looking forward to using these new features to implement a more sophisticated multilingual content management system for the client.

Two amazing new sites for Artfarm

Last month, through the collaboration of the Development team and Digital team, we launched two new websites for Audley pub and Mount Street restaurant, Artfarm is an independent hospitality and development company by Manuela and Iwan Wirth, that sets new boundaries for what cultural development can achieve. It adapts and reinvents unique sites with wonderful stories by bringing together art, community, education, people and place.

While working on creating the two new websites they have really captured the essence of each venue by incorporating the culture and art, which is so important to both restaurants, into the design and imagery of the website.

The Digital Marketing Team also launched a PPC campaign for both sites. They launched both campaigns halfway through October with the intention of driving traffic, increasing brand awareness and increasing bookings on the websites. They ran ads over a 12-day period and have seen some excellent results.

Through the use of these PPC campaigns, they have seen a significant increase and drive in traffic to online bookings on the Mount Street restaurant website and have also seen a large increase in traffic to The Audley pub itself.

Bayley & Sage Photography

We worked with London-based deli Bayley & Sage on a number of photoshoots ahead of launching their new e-commerce website. The task was to photograph their selection of beautiful hampers and showcase the quality and abundance of the products included. As well as shooting the hampers we also did a day of photography to capture imagery for Bayley & Sage’s Christmas brochure. This involved cooking an entire Christmas dinner and dressing the table to create the perfect Christmas scene. We’re pleased with the final outcome and feel we’ve captured the essence of a true Bayley & Sage Christmas!
