This month we had some amazing feedback on a brand refresh, set some exciting new websites live and won some new client contracts, all while juggling the changing working guidelines.
Although our full return to the Fanatic studio has been postponed again due to the changing guidelines, it was great to see the team in person after such a long time, even if it was only temporary. For now, we’re continuing to be as flexible as possible, with some team members continuing to work safely in the studio when needed. As usual, our Zoom calls are keeping us connected and the level of productivity hasn’t dipped!
The last few months have been rocky for most businesses, but we’re proud that Fanatic has managed to weather the storm and emerged even stronger with some exciting new clients. Keep an eye out for our work with them…
Zeetta is a leading provider of Open Networking and integrated 5G/Wi-Fi network management solutions. We were tasked by them to create a new website which would show off the power of their products and give them a more modern aesthetic. We coupled this with a brand refresh including a revamped style guide and business collateral.
The brand now reflects the tech savvy company they are and has bright, punchy colours accompanying the core messaging.
The team are really pleased with the outcome and are especially happy that we managed to turn it around in such a short timescale for the client.
“The Fanatic team were from the start of our project professional and responsive to our requests delivering consistently results exceeding our expectations. They worked tirelessly on our project, within tight deadlines, to create an engaging website and branding that received praise from our customers. I couldn’t have asked for a better design partner.”
We’ve recently been busy setting some new websites live for a number of our clients. This process requires ticking off a set of tasks beforehand, which take some time to complete but which are absolutely necessary before clicking ‘Publish’.
Go-live checks can help to identify any potential issues with a website, which can then be fixed before it’s too late. The process will ensure that your website is in the best possible place it can be before your visitors come flooding in.
We need to make sure that the website is ready to be launched from a technical and SEO point of view. We also need to make a series of checks to ensure that the website is secure and that all software used on the site is correctly installed and up to date.
This means that users will be able to easily find the site, navigate through its pages and input their information securely.
Some examples of things we check:
– SSL certificate is installed and redirects are correctly set
– WordPress or Umbraco core is at the latest stable release and all plugins are up to date
– Cross browser and mobile testing is complete
– Robots.txt and sitemap are accessible for search engines
– Forms are submitting correctly and emails are making it to the correct inboxes
We have been working with The Collection Events since they started work in the summer of 2018. We have a long-standing relationship with WSH Group so we were brought in to help with the new website and Digital Marketing strategy.
The Collection has venues across the UK but their emphasis has always been on London events.
One of our biggest challenges was deciding how to clearly present the hundreds of different venues they have on offer. We wanted to ensure a clear user journey from discovery through to enquiry.
By monitoring onsite user metrics, running in-depth competitor analysis and conducting a significant keyword research project we were able to come up with a new page design and site structure plan.
Our team endeavour to be as flexible as possible with tasks and projects, and over the last few months we have designed and developed a number of new page and flexible row types.
Combining these with new location targeting has allowed us to create an in-depth, easy to navigate and highly professional new London Venues by Location section within the site. You can have a look at the new pages here.
This month we’re feeling inspired by one of our own. Joe, our Digital Lead, recently took up the challenge of cycling 300 miles in aid of the amazing charity Cancer Research UK. Despite some surprisingly sweltering September temperatures and some saddle sores, he managed to rack up an impressive 310 miles in the end and along with his three teammates raised an incredible total of over £1900!
Well done Joe – we’re all very proud of you!
