West Country Water and Environment
Established in 2017, West Country Water and Environment (WCWE) aims to achieve a collaborative approach to water resources management in the region.
Stretching from Bristol and Wiltshire through Somerset to Devon and Cornwall, the West Country is made up of diverse and distinct areas facing their own unique water resource challenges.
Their challenge is to deliver a coordinated plan to water companies to safeguard water resources for those living and working in the West country while protecting its environment.
We were commissioned to design a suite of collateral to support WCWE’s two public consultations. The task was to create designs that not only reflected the professionalism of the brand, but also presented highly technical information in a way that was accessible to the public.
Our approach balanced clarity with creativity. We developed a cohesive visual style that aligned with WCWE’s identity while making complex data and engineering maps easier to interpret. By using clear layouts, engaging illustrated graphics and carefully considered hierarchy, we transformed dense information into user-friendly, digestible content.
The result was a set of consultation materials that not only upheld WCWE’s credibility but also encouraged public understanding and engagement.
We worked on creating a fresh new brand identity for WCWE (a YTL Group company, part of Wessex Water). The aim was to modernise the brand and give them a style which would help carry their upcoming SRO projects with a level of professionalism and friendliness.
As a result, we produced brand guidelines, business collateral, and a website design. We’ve continued working with WCWE and are enjoying seeing the brand come to life.
